It's the final day before the All-Star break, and we were supposed to have an All-Star matchup between Milwaukee Brewers RHP Jacob Misiorowski and Pittsburgh Pirates RHP Paul Skenes, but the former was scratched due to arm fatigue. We like the YRFI in the game featuring the Kansas City Royals and Baltimore Orioles and also side with the NRFI in the Philadelphia Phillies-Detroit Tigers game.
All games will start before dinner time Sunday, so get those bets rolling early.

Milwaukee Brewers at Pittsburgh Pirates NRFI (-145)
With Misiorowski unavailable, Milwaukee called up LHP Robert Gasser. Pirates RHP Paul Skenes had all the hype before The Miz emerged, but he's come back to Earth at 7-8 with a 3.58 ERA. He has had some blowups, which has inflated his first-inning ERA to 5.30. However, this is going to be a litmus test to see if he can reclaim some of the spotlight in Misiorowski's absence.
Kansas City Royals at Baltimore Orioles YRFI (-125)
Royals RHP Seth Lugo gets the call Sunday at 3-6 with a 4.56 ERA. He has been pummeled to the tune of a 7.00 ERA and a .342 opposing batting average in the first. RHP Shane Baz goes for the O's, and he's 4-9 with a 4.21 ERA on the season. He has struggled to a 6.00 ERA in the first inning this season.
Philadelphia Phillies at Detroit Tigers NRFI (-140)
Phillies ace RHP Zack Wheeler is the frontrunner for Comeback Player of the Year after thoracic outlet syndrome surgery at 9-1 with a 2.28 ERA. He starts the game well with a 1.29 ERA and 19 K's in 14 innings. Opponents are hitting just .143 in the opening frame off of him. Tigers LHP Tarik Skubal dealt with an arm injury and has slipped from his Cy Young form to 5-4 with a 3.06 ERA. He has a 4.50 ERA in the first, allowing five homers as part of his six runs allowed. Opponents hit just .200 in the opening frame, though, and he has whiffed 17 in 12 first frames.
What Does NRFI and YRFI Mean in Baseball?
The term NRFI indicates no runs scored in the first inning. Its opposite, YRFI, indicates yes, a run will be scored in the first inning. It doesn't matter if the run qualifies as an earned run or not. If a run crosses the plate in the first inning for either team, the wager loses for the NRFI side and wins for the YRFI side.
