Toronto Blue Jays RHP Trey Yesavage has rekindled his 2025 postseason form after a late start to the season and looks to cash an NRFI against the Chicago White Sox. The Tampa Bay Rays-Boston Red Sox matchup also looks good for an NRFI Sunday. Remaining consistent, the Baltimore Orioles-Houston Astros contest presents NRFI aspirations, too.
It's a typical Sunday with mostly day games, so get those bets in early.

Best NRFI Bets Today
Chicago White Sox at Toronto Blue Jays NRFI (-125)
The White Sox send RHP Sean Burke to the mound at 6-4 with a 3.41 ERA. His first-inning ERA isn't great at 5.40, but one-third of the nine runs he has allowed came in one start. Over his last two starts, he has gone 13 innings, allowing two earned runs total with 20 K's. For the Jays, RHP Trey Yesavage is 4-4 with a 3.72 ERA. He has been solid in the first with a 3.86 ERA and a .167 opponents' batting average.
Tampa Bay Rays at Boston Red Sox NRFI (-135)
Rays LHP Shane McClanahan is back to his dominant self after missing two full seasons. He's 8-5 with a 2.83 ERA. He's good in the first, too, with a 2.65 ERA and 21 K's in 17 IP. Red Sox RHP Sonny Gray is 11-1 with a 2.54 ERA. He was actually someone we tailed for some YRFIs in a rough stretch of first frames, but he has turned that around. His ERA in the first is 4.24, but he hasn't allowed a first-inning run in four starts.
Baltimore Orioles at Houston Astros NRFI (-120)
Orioles RHP Brandon Young is 7-2 with a 3.42 ERA on the season, and his first-inning ERA sits at 4.80 ... not exactly enticing for an NRFI. However, he hasn't been as wild of late with only one earned run allowed in the last three starts. The Astros send RHP Hunter Brown to the hill at 1-0 with a 3.57 ERA. He has 10 K's and a 3.86 ERA in seven first frames.
What Does NRFI and YRFI Mean in Baseball?
The term NRFI indicates no runs scored in the first inning. Its opposite, YRFI, indicates yes, a run will be scored in the first inning. It doesn't matter if the run qualifies as an earned run or not. If a run crosses the plate in the first inning for either team, the wager loses for the NRFI side and wins for the YRFI side.
