The U.S. men's hockey team is the most popular team in the country right now.
The American men topped Canada, 2-1, in the gold medal game on Sunday. Jack Hughes, 24, scored the game-winning goal. He instantly became an American hero.
"This is all about our country right now. I love the U.S.A. I love my teammates, it’s unbelievable," Hughes told NBC. "The USA Hockey brotherhood, it’s so strong. We had so much support from ex-players, and I’m so proud to be American today."

Darren Rovell of cllct explains why it's so hard to find a Team USA men's hockey jersey right now.
"Where can you get an official Jack Hughes Team USA jersey made by Nike? NOWHERE! Here’s how you explain it to your kid who wants one today," he wrote on X.
Rovell explained that Nike only made a certain amount of jerseys - and they are all gone. Nike could have taken a risk and opted to make more Jack Hughes jerseys, and the bet would've paid off in a big way.
He added in his video: "(Nike's) projection did not account for (what happened on Sunday)."
Nike facing backlash for decision
"Well to be sure ya had to order before Olympics…got mine!" one fan wrote.
"It would be great if you used your platform to dissect how bad it is for consumers in US professional sports. Fanatics owns every merchandising deal with every major league and continues to ship dogwater. if it’s even available," one fan added.
"Considering this is the same jersey also worn during the wjc and worlds, which occur every year, Nike should be far more prepared. I wanted to get one, but I thought the $ was a bit steep and quality was kinda meh for $. 180 blank and 230 with single layer heat press? Hard pass," one fan added.
"Was a disaster trying to get a custom jersey months leading up to the games. Absolute joke," one fan added.
"t's so stupid how many sales they're missing out on. I would have totally impulse bought a Hughes jersey that day for sure," one fan added.
It's disappointing, to be sure.
