O.J. Simpson will not be honored at the new home of the Buffalo Bills.
The former NFL star, who passed away in 2024, had his jersey number honored at the old home of the Bills. However, as the Bills are set to enter their new stadium this fall, the franchise has opted against continuing to honor Simpson.
Bills president of business operations Pete Guelli released a statement on the team's decision.
"We have made an organizational decision that he is not a fit to display inside our new stadium and family circle," he said.

Simpson's name and number was previously displayed on the old stadium as part of the Wall of Fame that was created in 1980. In the new stadium, the Bills will be honoring team legends in the family circle area outside the new stadium.
The former NFL star was infamously accused of murdering his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ron Goldman, before ultimately being found not-guilty in one of the most-famous trials of all-time.

Joseph Perrulli, who dated Nicole Brown Simpson in 1992, says that O.J.'s alleged behavior was an open secret.
“I had people in the [movie] industry telling me about, you know, informing me about his abuse, so I knew,” he told Page Six in a recent exclusive interview.
However, he says that there was little anyone could do.
“We were all powerless,” he explained. “He was still a spokesperson for a very big company [Hertz], a rental car company, and he was still a sportscaster. So, you know, everybody was powerless, and it seemed like he could do what he wanted. And he did.”
