The Philadelphia Eagles were dominated to the tune of 27-7 by the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football in Week 3. It was an ugly game for Philadelphia as the Eagles were completely outplayed on both sides of the ball.
After a loss like that, the Eagles are feeling a wide range of emotions, including, apparently, anger.
Nick Sirianni Says Eagles are ‘Angry’ Heading into Game Against Rams
During a local radio appearance on Wednesday morning, Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni described the Eagles as “angry” after the loss to the Bears.
It’s good that the Eagles are angry, because Eagles fans were certainly angry after watching their team get thoroughly dismantled by a third-string quarterback on national television. The playcalling by both coordinators was especially frustrating for fans, as it was consistently questionable and failed to put the players in position to succeed.
The seven points that the Eagles scored against Chicago was tied for the fewest during the Sirianni era and given the talent on the offense, it’s an embarrassing output.
The Eagles need to be better, on both sides of the ball, against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 4, or they’ll quickly find themselves sitting at .500 for the season.
Eagles, Rams Will Both be Desperate for a Win in Week 4
Both the Eagles and Rams will be desperate for a win in Week 4, so the game between the two teams should be competitive, and entertaining. The Rams, who were viewed as a Super Bowl favorite by many heading into the season, have lost two of their first three games of the season, and they certainly don’t want to go 1-3.
Meanwhile, the concern level around the Eagles will reach a fever pitch if they lose a second straight game to another NFC playoff team, which they obviously don’t want to happen.
One of the strengths of the Eagles under Sirianni has been their ability to respond and bounce back from adversity. They’ll aim to do just that against L.A.
