It’s only Week 2 of the 2026 NFL season, but the Seattle Seahawks already have several notable injury situations.
Of course, the top situation to monitor is star quarterback Sam Darnold. Darnold suffered a glute injury and has already been ruled out for Week 2. The hope is that Darnold can return in Week 4 or Week 5, and he’s already been rehabbing the injury.
Aside from Darnold, the Seahawks were without a couple of other key starters in Week 1: Defensive backs Nick Emmanwori and Ty Okada.
Fortunately, despite these injuries, the Seahawks were still able to win in Week 1. Still, it would be nice to be back to full health soon, so will that be the case (minus Darnold) in Week 2?
The team has released the first injury report of the week on Wednesday night.
Seahawks Wednesday Injury Report

The following players are listed on the Seahawks’ injury report:
- G Anthony Bradford- Knee- Limited
- QB Sam Darnold- Glute- DNP
- DB Nick Emmanwori- Ankle, Hip- Limited
- WR Tory Horton- Hamstring- Full
- CB Josh Jobe- Wrist- Full
- T Josh Jones- Knee- Limited
- WR Cooper Kupp- Back- Limited
- DB Ty Okada- Hamstring- DNP
For what it’s worth, veteran Seahawks reporter Bob Condotta thinks Bradford, Jones, and Kupp are likely “veteran rest day” situations more than real injuries.
Therefore, the situations to monitor are those of Emmanwori and Okada. It’s good to see that Emmanwori was at least a limited participant, but it’s concerning that a hip injury was added. This is not something that was on the report last week.
It’s concerning that Okada is still not able to practice at all. Granted, Julian Love played phenomenally in Week 1, but it would still be nice to have the secondary at full health.
We’ll have to see if Okada is able to be a limited participant on Thursday. It’s very rare for a player to not practice on Thursday and then play on Sunday, so tomorrow’s report will tell us a lot.
