The 2026 NFL season is kicking off on Wednesday night with an exciting rematch of Super Bowl LX.
The Seattle Seahawks got the best of the New England Patriots in the first matchup, and they’ll be hoping to get this season started off on a positive note as well. Even though no games have been played yet, there are still some notable injury situations.
For the Seahawks, the big story is the secondary. The team only kept three safeties on the initial roster, and two of them are banged up right now. An injury report was released on Tuesday, so let’s see what the updates are.
Ty Okada OUT, Nick Emmanwori, Tory Horton QUESTIONABLE

According to the Seahawks’ Tuesday report, starting safety Ty Okada is officially out with a hamstring injury. Okada did not practice on Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday, so this isn’t a surprise.
Fellow safety Nick Emmanwori is more up in the air. Emmanwori was a limited participant in practice on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday with an ankle injury and is listed as questionable. Emmanwori hasn’t fully practiced in over two months, though, so it’s not looking like he’ll be able to play.
Wide receiver/returner Tory Horton is also listed as questionable due to a hamstring injury. Horton has also been a limited participant this week.
A.J. Barner, Anthony Bradford, Josh Jones, Julian Neal, and Emanuel Wilson are all listed on the report as well, but with no designation, which means they will play.
With Okada out and Emmanwori likely out, this leaves Julian Love as the only healthy safety. The Seahawks do have multiple safeties, including D’Anthony Bell, on the practice squad, so expect some gameday elevations here.
It will be interesting to see what we learn on Wednesday. The game is slated to kick off at 8:20 p.m. ET, so we should know the inactives at about 6:00 p.m.
