The Kansas City Chiefs remain at No. 2 in ESPN’s NFL Power Rankings following their 22-6 win over the Los Angeles Chargers. They improved to 5-0 as running back Kenneth Walker III continued running wild with 19 rushes for 128 yards and two touchdowns in Week 6.
Walker regained the NFL lead with 665 rushing yards on the season and also leads with 6.3 yards per carry. He has also scored eight total touchdowns in five games. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes was solid, going 23-for-30 for 272 yards, but the only reception in the end zone came from the other team. It was just his third interception of the season.
Tight end Travis Kelce appeared to tweak his ankle early in the game, and he limped to the sidelines. He had the ankle taped up and remained in the game. The Chiefs played without wide receiver Rashee Rice (hamstring), offensive tackle Josh Simmons (back) and wide receiver Tyquan Thornton (ankle).
