Is YouTube TV’s “NFL Sunday Ticket” still worth the price in 2026?
For more than two decades, “NFL Sunday Ticket” has allowed fans to watch every out-of-market game. It’s been a godsend for fans of teams who don’t live in the city where that franchise is based. For years, DIRECTV was the exclusive home of “NFL Sunday Ticket.” However, starting in 2023, it moved to YouTube TV.
The NFL continues to move games to different streaming platforms and networks, though. Netflix, Peacock, and even YouTube will have games this fall.
Is it still worth it to pay for “NFL Sunday Ticket” in 2026?

Some NFL fans are saying no.
YouTube is listing the standard price for 2026-27 Sunday Ticket at $480. Subscribers can divide the cost into eight $60 monthly payments. However, eventually it must be paid in full. Subscribers are not allowed to subscribe and unsubscribe by the month.
Of course, it’s technically available at lower prices. New users can sign up right now for $240. Returning subscribers can get it now for $336. YouTube TV subscribers, meanwhile, can purchase the package for $234.
And people like teachers, military members, veterans, first responders and medical workers can get it at a major discount – just $198 through ID.me.
But is it all still worth the cost? Some NFL fans are cancelling, saying no.
NFL fans criticize high cost of ‘NFL Sunday Ticket’
“In total, the NFL will play six games on Wednesdays and Fridays this season, two days it long avoided (in part because of legal restrictions). Further, nine of the league’s 18 weeks will include an international game, most of which will air on NFL Network at 9:30 a.m. ET,” Bobby Burack shared.
“The NFL got greedy. Sunday Ticket’s diminished value is a consequence. And as the league continues to expand its national windows, demand for the package will decline. Unless, of course, the NFL lowers the price.”
For many, of course, the price is still worth it – especially for fans of teams not in the local market.
But it’s clear that many are fed up.
