Former Philadelphia Eagles sideline reporter Devan Kaney has landed a new gig.
Kaney, who covered the Eagles as the team's sideline reporter for 94.1 WIP, announced that she is leaving her home at FOX 29. Kaney, who was laid off as part of the Audacy cuts, is not leaving sports media. In fact, Kaney says that she is leaving Philadelphia for a bigger market.
“Last week was my final sportscast at [Fox 29 Philadelphia],” Kaney wrote on X. “I’m so excited to share what’s next for me, but first I have to shoutout my incredible friends, family, and colleagues who have been so supportive over the last few months as I navigated my next career move. Change is never easy, but I’m grateful for the people in my life who make sure I know that I am never alone.”
"It’s not goodbye Philly it’s see ya later! I’ll still be around and podcasting about our Phillies and I hope you follow along as I embark on my next chapter. stay tuned. go birds."
Kaney, who was working as a weekend anchor for FOX 29, hinted at her next move on social media, too.
The popular sideline reporter will be landing in a "bigger" market.
Kaney hints at her next stop
"I am leaving for a bigger market, it was my choice but don’t worry you can prob still catch me on Fox airwaves 😏," she wrote.
Philadelphia is already a pretty big market, so that would leave places like New York, Los Angeles, Chicago or Dallas.
It'll be interesting to see where she lands next. Perhaps she'll have a new role just in time for the start of the 2026 NFL season.
We wish her the best of luck.
