Veteran NFL sideline reporter Devan Kaney is back in business ahead of the 2026 regular season.
Kaney, who previously covered the Philadelphia Eagles, was ousted from her role following the 2025 season. Kaney was let go by 94WIP-FM layoffs during the latest round of cuts from parent company Audacy. She'll no longer host WIP's morning show with Joe DeCamara and Jon Ritchie.
"I had a blast working at WIP and sincerely enjoyed my time there," Kaney said, via The Philadelphia Inquirer. "But as the old saying goes, when one door closes, another opens."
That next door has opened for Kaney.

Kaney previously announced that she was done in Philadelphia.
“Last week was my final sportscast at [Fox 29 Philadelphia],” Kaney wrote on X. “I’m so excited to share what’s next for me, but first I have to shoutout my incredible friends, family, and colleagues who have been so supportive over the last few months as I navigated my next career move. Change is never easy, but I’m grateful for the people in my life who make sure I know that I am never alone.”
Kaney explained that leaving was “[her] choice,” and that she was “leaving for a bigger market."
Former Eagles sideline reporter heading to Chicago
Kaney is now set to cover the Chicago Bears for FOX32 in Chicago.
“Your newest Bears reporter for the home of the Chicago Bears, [Fox 32],” Kaney posted to X.
NFL fans are excited to see her back.
"Congratulations my friend - So hyped for you! Not sure Chicago is ready for the amount of new fans they’re going to have from Philly (for you, not exactly the team). Cannot wait to follow along & see you dominate again!" one wrote.

The Bears, who are coming off a major playoff appearance, could be one of the NFL's most exciting teams in 2026.
