Matthew Stafford had an incredible campaign with the Los Angeles Rams in 2025. In his 17th year in the NFL, the All-Pro quarterback led L.A. to a 12-5 record. The Rams finished second in the NFC West behind the Seattle Seahawks and fifth in the conference.

Stafford played all 17 games in the regular season for just the second time in his career. He finished with 388-of-597 completed passes (65.0%) to lead the league in passing yards (4,707) and touchdowns (46), with just eight interceptions.

Stafford was named one of five finalists for the Most Valuable Player. He is up against Drake Maye of the New England Patriots, Christian McCaffrey of the San Francisco 49ers, Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills and Trevor Lawrence of the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The winner of this season’s MVP will be announced on Thursday at the NFL Honors. Stafford is considered the favorite to win the AP MVP title for the first time in his career.

The NFL sent a reminder about Stafford’s campaign on Tuesday, two days before the big winner is announced.

“@matthewstafford had one of the most prolific passing seasons you’ll ever see 🎯” the league posted on Instagram.

In the post, the NFL shared some of Stafford’s most memorable TD passes in 2025. There were more than a few of them this year from the 37-year-old quarterback.

Stafford and the Rams defeated the Panthers in the wild card round, 34-31. They took down the Chicago Bears in overtime in the divisional round, 20-17.

Unfortunately for Stafford and Co., their season came to an end in the conference championship. They lost the NFC Championship Game against the Seattle Seahawks, 31-27.

Sam Darnold and the Seahawks are now set to face the Patriots on Sunday at Super Bowl 60.
