The New England Patriots and the Detroit Lions are set to face off at Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany, in Week 10. The Nov. 15 game will mark the NFL’s eighth international game this season as the league continues to expand its international presence.

Considering the NFL’s history in Munich, the Patriots and Lions’ showdown is expected to draw a massive crowd once again. In 2022, over 69,000 fans came in force to witness the Seattle Seahawks face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the same arena.

Two years later, in the NFL’s return to Munich, over 70,000 fans came to watch the Carolina Panthers play the New York Giants.

As the excitement for this year’s Germany game continues to build up, the NFL announced a couple of updates to hype up the occasion even more.

The NFL revealed the pregame performers for the contest, particularly the national anthem singers for the German and U.S. national anthems.

For the German national anthem, the league tapped popular brass band from Bavaria, Germany, called LaBrassBanda. As for the U.S. national anthem, it will be performed by country singer Drew Baldridge.

Baldridge is an American singer and songwriter who has been active in the country music scene since 2013. Over the years, Baldridge has had a number of songs chart on Billboard’s Hot Country Airplay, although it was in 2024 when he really broke through, when his song titled “She’s Somebody’s Daughter (Reimagined)” hit the Billboard Hot 100.

The NFL’s upcoming game between the Patriots and Lions in Munich is shaping up to be a game worth watching for international fans. And with Baldridge kicking things off for the Americans, those in attendance will soon get an authentic NFL experience overseas.
