Tom Brady walked away from the NFL in 2023 as the most accomplished quarterback the league has ever seen. The future Hall of Famer completed a 23-year career that produced seven Super Bowl titles, five Super Bowl MVPs, and nearly every major postseason passing record.

But retirement has not kept him away from football. Brady transitioned into broadcasting with Fox Sports on a massive 10-year contract reportedly worth $375 million, stepping directly into the network’s lead NFL analyst role alongside Kevin Burkhardt.

The adjustment drew scrutiny at first. But by the end of the 2025 season, the conversation around his work had shifted noticeably as his analysis became sharper and more natural week to week.

Brady’s improvement earned him one of the biggest recognitions available in sports broadcasting. He received a Sports Emmy nomination in the Outstanding Personality/Event Analyst category alongside veteran broadcasters Greg Olsen, Troy Aikman, Cris Collinsworth, and Bill Raftery.

On Wednesday, however, he was dealt some bad news: the award did not go his way. Olsen was announced as the winner of that category, continuing one of the strongest broadcasting runs in football television.

The 41-year-old had already built a reputation as one of the sharpest analysts in the industry before Fox moved him from its top broadcast team after signing Brady.

Many around the league believed Olsen never lost the form that made him a fan favorite, even after the demotion. And his ability to explain coverages clearly and chemistry in the booth continued to stand out throughout the 2025 season.

Brady, meanwhile, is still firmly positioned as Fox’s lead analyst entering the 2026 NFL season. He remains under contract with the network and is expected to resume duties alongside Burkhardt when the regular season opens in September.

Fox’s early broadcast schedule currently has Brady assigned to the Week 1 matchup between the Washington Commanders and New York Giants.
