Michael Strahan built his reputation over 15 seasons with the New York Giants, turning himself into one of the most feared pass rushers of his era. Across 216 regular-season games, he finished with 141.5 official sacks, 854 tackles, 24 forced fumbles, 15 fumble recoveries, four interceptions and three defensive touchdowns.
His signature year came in 2001, when he set what was then the NFL’s single-season sack record with 22.5, a performance that earned him Defensive Player of the Year and remains the defining stretch of his career.
Football wasn’t the end of his story. Strahan retired in 2008 and moved almost seamlessly into television, joining FOX NFL Sunday as an analyst before growing into one of the more recognizable faces in the medium, eventually landing a permanent seat as co-anchor of Good Morning America.
Decades removed from his playing days, he remains one of the more visible former players in the country. Now, at 54, Strahan has news that has nothing to do with football or television.
TMZ reported he and girlfriend Kayla Quick, 37, welcomed a baby girl earlier this year, his fifth child and his first with Quick.

Strahan is already a father of four, as he shares Tanita, 34, and Michael Jr., 31, with ex-wife Wanda Hutchins, and daughters Isabella and Sophia, both 21, with ex-wife Jean Muggli.
Strahan and Quick have been a couple since 2015, though details of how the relationship started have never been made public. The new arrival comes after a difficult stretch for the family.
Isabella spent much of late 2023 and 2024 undergoing treatment for medulloblastoma, a rare brain tumor, a battle Strahan spoke about openly at the time. She was declared cancer-free by mid-2024.
