Marshawn Lynch is one of the greatest running backs to play in the NFL this century. A member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame 2010s All-Decade Team, Lynch's physical running style and quotable interviews made him a fan favorite across 12 seasons with the Buffalo Bills, Seattle Seahawks and his hometown team, the Oakland Raiders.

Lynch's legacy was built in the postseason. His famous "Beast Quake" run helped the Seahawks win a wild card game against the defending champion New Orleans Saints in the 2010 NFL playoffs. Lynch won his only Super Bowl ring in 2014, ranking first in the playoffs that season with 65 carries for 288 rushing yards and four touchdowns in three games.

That was followed by the biggest "what-if" of Lynch's career, a 28-24 loss to the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl the next season. The Seahawks chose to pass with the ball at the 2-yard line, resulting in a game-sealing interception by the Patriots. Lynch finished the game with 24 rushes for 102 yards and one touchdown, but did not get the ball on the biggest play.

With a Seahawks-Patriots rematch coming up this Sunday in Super Bowl LX, nostalgic fans pitched a hypothetical idea for Lynch, 39, to come out of retirement — even just for one play. When asked about it on his podcast "Da Get Got Pod," Lynch gave a clear answer about what he would to do if offered a one-day contract by Seattle general manager John Schneider.

"My fat (expletive) ain't going nowhere," Lynch said.

After 12 NFL seasons, "Beast Mode" felt like he had nothing left to prove. A chance for revenge against the Patriots close to his home in the Bay Area was not enough to change his mind.

"At my position, at my age, where I'm at — O.G. status — I feel I've earned the right to sit my big head (expletive) down and clap," Lynch said.

Lynch went on to explain that he did not think that Mike Macdonald's team would need any help to defeat Drake Maye and New England. He picked the Seahawks to win, predicting that they would "beat the brakes off" the Patriots.

According to Lynch's Instagram, his Super Bowl plans involve happily sitting down and cheering on his former team at a watch party at a local restaurant. Super Bowl LX kicks off from Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara at 6:30 p.m. ET and will be televised on NBC.
