The fans they target, or the very personalities they are discussing. An Atlanta Falcons player just got exactly what they were looking for from Eli Manning—and more.
Matt Ryan is one of the best players to ever don a Falcons jersey. He played for the Dirty Birds from 2008 to 2021, spent some time with the Indianapolis Colts, and returned to the organization that drafted him, where he now serves as president of football operations since January this year.
The numbers speak to Ryan's greatness, not just within the Falcons community but across the entire NFL. He won the season MVP and Offensive Player of the Year awards in 2016. He was also named to the Pro Bowl four times.
His peak coincided with Manning, who is a legend in his own right. The latter played all his NFL seasons with the New York Giants. However, he did not win an MVP like Ryan.

A random Falcons fan account called Falcons & Fantasy Football, with more than 6,000 followers on X, tried to stir up conversation by pitting the two legendary quarterbacks against each other. The post now has 2.8 million views.
The account fished for reactions, but what it got was a response from Manning himself, who shut down the conversation. Manning ratioed the original post, and his reply now has 3.2 million views.
Unfortunately for Ryan and his fans, he does not have the ultimate honor every franchise quarterback strives for in their career. Manning, on the other hand, won two Super Bowls and earned two Super Bowl MVP awards.
Some X users on the original post are siding with Manning.
"I hate to do this to you, but… Matt Ryan helped give up a 28-3 lead to the Pats in the Super Bowl. Eli Manning BEAT the Pats in the Super Bowl, TWICE. Eli is winning this fight," a top reply reads.
Another emphasized how rings are everything.
"Stupid debate. The rings are what people remember. Wanna be remembered as an all time QB? Make it to the mountain top."
