Apparently, FOX NFL insider Jay Glazer isn't eager to talk about Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

During an interview with Yahoo Sports this week, Glazer was asked about Rodgers' future with the Steelers. Although they've trained together in the past, Glazer revealed that his friendship with the four-time MVP has soured over the past few months.

"Him and Mike McCarthy have talked. I think he has more of an appreciation for Mike now than he had by a lot," Glazer said. "Absence makes the heart grow fonder. Listen, I’ll never, I trained with Aaron in the offseason. I still can’t tell you how he’ll be on a Monday or a Tuesday. Like I never know. You never know. I thought we were real good friends, and all that stuff, then he called me back once this whole offseason, so screw him."

Glazer didn't have much more to say about Rodgers, but it certainly seems like there's more to the story here.

"This just seems to weird to randomly say," one fan replied. "Was he joking by any chance?"

"So he’s only good to you if he’s telling you about his career? That’s a transactional relationship buddy," a second fan commented.

"Such an odd thing to say, what a weirdo," another fan wrote.

Do the Steelers want Rodgers back?

The days of Rodgers being a top-five quarterback in the NFL are over, but he's still capable of playing at a high level. He 65.7% of his passes during the 2025 season for 3,322 yards with 24 touchdowns and seven interceptions.

Steelers head coach Mike McCarthy was asked at his introductory press conference if he'd want Rodgers as his quarterback for the 2026 season.

“Definitely,” McCarthy replied. “I mean, I don’t see why you wouldn’t. When guys are at that stage in their career, they need to take a step away and decompress. This game is so emotional, so that time away is important.”

If Rodgers isn't ready to retire, a one-year deal with the Steelers makes sense for both parties.
