Two veteran NFL quarterbacks are expected to be on the move in free agency, too. Geno Smith, who spent last season in Las Vegas, and Tua Tagovailoa, who spent the first six seasons of his career in Miami, are expected to have new teams.
Geno Smith to the Dolphins?
Smith is expected by many to land in Miami. The Dolphins are in need of a veteran quarterback presence and Smith could fit the bill.
Miami is believed to be his preferred destination.
However, the Dolphins could make a run at Malik Willis, too, potentially complicating things for Smith.
"Sources indicate Smith’s preferred destination is Miami, where he’s from. Could muddy waters," Connor Hughes reported.
Tua to the Falcons?
Tagovailoa might not be out of a team for long. The Falcons are expected to make a run at the veteran quarterback.
Atlanta is reportedly looking for a veteran quarterback presence to help carry the load.
"There has been mutual interest and with Atlanta potentially needing a veteran with starting experience, Tua is likely it," NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport shared on Monday morning.
