NFL fans want to see Josh Allen fined for his behavior during Sunday’s loss to the Patriots.
The Bills fell to the Patriots, 29-26, on Sunday. New England improved to 2-2 on the year, while Buffalo dropped to 3-1 on the season. It was a huge win for Drake Maye and Co.
“I thought he just competed today,” Mike Vrabel said of Maye’s performance. “Whether it was a bad snap or dropping the ball — whatever it may have been — to come back and really focus on what he needed to do. Scrambling. Being decisive. Using his legs. Being accurate.
“I’m happy for him, I’m proud of him. He deserves all the credit. However things have been, the only thing that matters is what we’re going to do the next opportunity we get. Sometimes that’s hard for everybody to understand, but I think he really took that to heart.”
Meanwhile, it was a tough loss for Josh Allen. However, the Bills quarterback is facing blowback for his clear flopping earlier in the game.
“Josh Allen takes an extremely dirty hit from the Patriots. This should’ve been a 15 yard penalty and suspension!! A big 6’5 Josh Allen would never fall over this easily if he wasn’t hit hard. Not a flop!!” the account, Rate the Refs, posted sarcastically.
NFL fans want to see Josh Allen fined
NFL fans are pushing for the Buffalo Bills quarterback to get fined for his flopping in Week 4.
“This should be a 15 yard penalty on Allen and a significant midweek fine. We need to get this out of the NFL before it becomes pervasive like in soccer or basketball,” one fan argued.
“This a Josh Allen effect. Josh has been the biggest flopper his entire career. That does not take away from Allen being a great QB or good person, just flops a lot,” one fan added.
“Hockey has a two-minute minor called “embellishment”, make that one of the flaggable unsportsmanlike penalties (and, if they tried to draw a personal foul, the embellishment is also personal foul counting towards ejection),” one fan added.
NFL does need to do something about this, before flopping becomes extreme.
