With the first three weeks of the NFL season in the books, Tom Brady has updated his power rankings for FOX Sports.
Coming into Week 3, the Seattle Seahawks held the No. 1 spot in Brady’s rankings. They were 2-0 and playing extremely well despite losing Sam Darnold to an injury. Even though Darnold returned to action this past weekend, the defending Super Bowl champions fell short to the Washington Commanders.
Seattle’s upset loss last Sunday inspired Brady to completely reshuffle his top 10 heading into Week 4. As of this moment, he has the San Francisco 49ers as the best team in the NFL.
“They were pretty much unheralded all offseason because everyone was talking about Seattle and the Rams. But it’s the 49ers at No. 1. Why? They’re undefeated. We know that. But they have the best point differential in the league. Brock Purdy’s playing as well as anybody; anybody. He should be considered in the Tier 1 QB discussions. At least he is in my eyes,” Brady said. “It sure looks like Purdy is an elite quarterback now. He’s playing within the system, throwing the ball accurately, no negative plays, getting his team in and out of the right plays — I love the way he’s managing every single game.”

Did Tom Brady miss the mark?
While there are plenty of fans praising Brady’s power rankings, some believe he snubbed the Jacksonville Jaguars from his top 10.
“TB is gonna end up making me like him,” a Raiders fan said.
“The only person that does actual power rankings based on the actual games,” a fan commented. “Everyone else has their list before the season starts they honor for the most part.”
“Hearing Tom say Purdy should be in the top QB discussions gives me goosebumps,” another fan replied.
“Not only are the Jags a clear T10 team, they have the 2nd best odds to win their division,” a social media user wrote.
Brady will call this Sunday’s NFC showdown between the Los Angeles Rams and Philadelphia Eagles. There’s no question he’ll make changes to his top 10 once Week 4 is over.
