The 2026 season will truly be Aaron Rodgers' last ride in the NFL.

Earlier this week, Rodgers signed a one-year contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers that's worth up to $25 million. Most fans assumed he'd return for another year, especially after he completed 66.5% of his passes for 3,327 yards with 24 touchdowns and eight interceptions during the 2025 season.

While speaking to the media this Wednesday afternoon, Rodgers discussed his future in the NFL.

When asked if the 2026 season will be his last, Rodgers replied, "Yes. This is it."

Let's just say the responses to Rodgers' announcement have been all over the place.

"What a freaking career. Awesome he’ll go out with Mike McCarthy," Kyle Malzhan of WFRV Local 5 said.

"I’ll believe that when I see it," Aaron Leming of Bear Report wrote.

"Thank goodness," Pride of Detroit wrote on X.

"One last hate watch for the road," a fan commented.

"Anyone who thought Aaron Rodgers was going out without a retirement tour is a moron," a second fan declared.

"Notoriously honest person Aaron Rodgers says this will definitely for sure this time be his final year," another fan joked.

The legend of Aaron Rodgers.

Rodgers will undoubtedly be a first-ballot Hall of Famer once he's eligible for Canton. Not even his biggest critics can deny that statement.

Even though Rodgers didn't win multiple Super Bowl titles like Tom Brady or Peyton Manning, he put together a résumé that few quarterbacks can match. The four-time MVP has thrown for 66,274 yards with 527 touchdowns and 123 interceptions.

When it comes to making history, Rodgers is a natural. Not only does he hold an NFL record for TD-INT ratio with a minimum of 1,500 attempts, he owns the single-season record for passer rating and has thrown the most consecutive pass attempts (402) without an interception.

We'll see if Rodgers closes out his NFL career in style.
