Despite all the outrage online, Bad Bunny will headline the Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show on February 8, 2026.
There were rumors about Adele and Taylor Swift being in the running for the halftime show. In September, however, the NFL named Bad Bunny its halftime performer. The league is confident that he'll light up the stage at Levi’s Stadium.
“Bad Bunny represents the global energy and cultural vibrancy that define today’s music scene. As one of the most influential and streamed artists in the world, his unique ability to bridge genres, languages, and audiences makes him an exciting and natural choice to take the Super Bowl halftime stage,” said Jon Baker, the SVP of Global Event Production for the NFL. “We know his dynamic performances, creative vision, and deep connection with fans will deliver the kind of unforgettable experience we’ve come to expect from this iconic cultural moment.”
Countless celebrities, including Brett Favre, Megyn Kelly and Danica Patrick, have already said they're not a fan of the Super Bowl halftime show. Nonetheless, that hasn't impacted Apple Music's plans for Bad Bunny.

On Friday afternoon, Apple Music said Bad Bunny is "bringing Puerto Rico to the world’s biggest stage" this February. It didn't take long for people to complain about that statement.
"How come the biggest American stage isn't an American," one person replied.
"No one wants him at the Super Bowl," a second fan wrote.
"Will not be watching the halftime show," another fan said.
What's the alternative?
In October, Turning Point USA announced that it was planning an “All American Halftime Show” for Feb. 8. Their plans immediately received support from Gracie Hunt, the daughter of Kansas City Chiefs chairman Clark Hunt.
Turning Point USA public relations manager Aubrey Laitsch confirmed this month that their halftime show is “100 percent on.” Apparently, “multiple performers” are being lined up for the show. They haven't been revealed at this time though.
We'll see if Turning Point USA ends up competing with Apple Music this February. Obviously, Bad Bunny will generate far more ratings.
