ESPN’s “Get Up” received a shot in the arm this week from longtime NFL Network personality Kyle Brandt.
Now that ESPN owns and operates NFL Network, its top shows can feature Brandt, who became a household name on “Good Morning Football.” Although it’s only Week 3 of the 2026 season, Brandt is already proving to be an excellent addition to ESPN.
During this Wednesday’s episode of “Get Up,” Mike Greenberg and the rest of the crew discussed which 0-2 teams have disappointed them this season. That led to Brandt unleashing an epic rant about the Los Angeles Chargers.
Not only did Brandt rip Jim Harbaugh’s squad, he made a hilarious reference to Justin Herbert and Madison Beer’s relationship.
“We give you a quarterback, we give you offensive linemen, running back, tight ends and wide receivers,” Brandt said. “You give us two losses against a couple of teams that are trying to make something of themselves. I think you’re too focused on beer right now. Think about why your consequences come from your actions. … I’m not disappointed, I’m BLEEPIN’ mad.”

After hearing this rant from Brandt, countless NFL fans urged ESPN to make him a full-time addition to “Get Up.”
“Kyle Brandt is sooooo good at TV,” one fan said.
“Petition for Kyle Brandt to chastise football teams 5 days a week on Get Up,” a second fan wrote.
“Best move ESPN has made was to bring in Peter Schrager and Kyle Brandt,” another fan declared.
ESPN’s NFL coverage can use a bit more personality.
A few months ago, ESPN made the tough decision to part ways with Ryan Clark and Cam Newton among other NFL analysts.
If ESPN wants “Get Up” to remain a must-watch show in the morning, adding a fireball of a personality like Brandt makes a ton of sense.
“Good Morning Football” became an Emmy Award-winning show because of Brandt and that crew’s infectious energy. We’ll see if “Get Up” enjoys similar success.
