If there’s one thing NFL fans can’t do, it’s question Al Michaels’ dedication.
Despite celebrating his 60th wedding anniversary with his wife Linda this Thursday, Michaels was at Huntington Bank Field to call a preseason game between the New England Patriots and the Cleveland Browns. He called this exhibition as part of Amazon Prime Video’s “Thursday Night Football” coverage.
The Browns honored Al and Linda’s 60th anniversary by sharing a photo of them on their videoboard.
While fans love hearing Michaels call NFL games, they were a bit surprised he missed his anniversary to cover the Browns.

“Al Michaels skipping his 60th anniversary to call a Patriots-Browns preseason game is hilarious,” one fan said.
“Al Michaels is spending his 60th anniversary in Cleveland Ohio calling Dillon Gabriel vs Tommy DeVito and you folks have the gumption to criticize this man??? Living legend,” a second fan wrote.
“Sorry babe I can’t celebrate tonight, gotta work this preseason game,” another fan commented.
“Imagine spending your 60th anniversary calling a game in Cleveland,” another NFL fan replied.
Al Michaels received a special shoutout.
During Thursday night’s halftime interview, Browns coach Todd Monken delivered a heartfelt message to Al and Linda.
“I just want to wish Al and Linda a happy 60th anniversary,” Monken said. “How cool is that? I mean, to find your soulmate, the love of your life. 60 years. Congratulations, Al and Linda.”
Michaels replied, “That was very cool. So, Todd is 60 years old. He was in the crib, and we’re walking down the aisle. That was very cool, man. Thank you.”
Congratulations to Al and Linda on truly spending a lifetime together.
