The Buffalo Bills' new $2 billion stadium is set to officially open up ahead of the 2026 NFL regular season.
However, as the stadium opened up to the public this weekend for a team practice, photos of seats with bad sight lines went viral on social media, sparking a lot of backlash online.
"Whoever designed the new Bills stadium should wasn't very keen to detail. Imagine paying tens of thousands on PSLs and season tickets and walk into a view like this..." Buffalo Weather shared.
"It affects every single section in the entire upper deck of the stadium for the first 5-10 rows (depending on your height). That is thousands of people…"
But while many fans are ripping the Bills for their new stadium, some are defending Buffalo, saying that every stadium in the world is going to have a few rough seats.
NFL fans defending Buffalo's new stadium
"2 billion 65,000 capacity stadium and people went the first chance they got just to just try and find 3,4 that looked like they weren’t perfect and post them on the internet for interaction and your took the bait hook line and sinker. Stick to getting the weather wrong," one fan wrote.
"This is how many modern stadiums are constructed now unfortunately and I agree it’s unfortunate because inevitably the glass gets dirty and distorts what you look at through it. Open concourse designs mean stairs are in the seating bowl and my understanding is modern building codes require protective guardrails to be 42” to protect people from falling, whereas older stadiums usually weren’t built to this specification," one fan added.
"Every stadium has bad views like this. Get over it," one fan added.
"Don’t worry, even Gillette Stadium has obstructed views due to the 6 banners," another fan joked.
"Do not let these 4 pictures fool you The stadium is absolutely glorious. 99% of seats have a great view. Food and drinks are better, sound system incredible," one fan added.
What do you make of the new stadium?
