The New York Giants and their fans held their breath this Saturday during the preseason opener against the Minnesota Vikings.

During the final play of the first quarter, Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart got leveled by Vikings safety Jay Ward. It was pretty evident that running back Tyrone Tracy missed his blocking assignment on the blitz.

Not only did Dart need a few moments to get up off the turf at MetLife Stadium, he had to take a visit to the blue medical tent for a concussion evaluation. Luckily for the Giants, he cleared the test and returned to the field.

A few plays later, Dart threw a 15-yard touchdown pass to rookie wideout Malachi Fields.

Despite his impressive touchdown pass, Giants fans are a bit worried about Dart's durability.

"I’m genuinely concerned that Jaxson Dart won’t even make it 8 games this year," one fan commented.

"Jaxson Dart will never beat the blue tent allegations," a second fan said.

"First preseason game and Jaxson Dart already got knocked out smh," a third fan said.

"Doesn’t take long for another Jaxson Dart visit in the tent! Wow," another person wrote.

Will Jaxson Dart change his ways?

Dart missed time during his rookie season due to a concussion. Fans and media members have urged him to change his playing style, but he has said many times that he'll remain a dual-threat quarterback.

“I understand the question, but this is football,” Dart said. “I’m going to get hit if I’m in the pocket or outside the pocket. I’ve played this way my whole entire life. It shouldn’t be any shocker to anybody if you’ve followed along with my career. We’re not playing soccer out here. You’re going to get hit, things happen. It’s just part of the game.”

If the Giants are going to be competitive this season, they'll need Dart healthy. Hopefully, he avoids taking big hits this fall.
