Could this be the year that Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen finally gets over the hump and into the Super Bowl? If he keeps making plays like this play of the year candidate, it’ll be hard to stop him.
The Bills have been in a hard-fought road game against the Las Vegas Raiders today with the home team giving Allen’s team plenty of fits on both sides of the ball. But after coming out of halftime tied 13-13, Allen was able to get the Bills some separation at Allegiant Stadium.
After an interception set the Bills up at the Raiders’ 32-yard line, Allen led the team into the red zone with ease before the Raiders defense put the clamps on. On 3rd-and-8 from the 12-yard line, Allen scrambled as the pocket broke down and multiple Raiders defenders closed in on him.
Rather than throw the ball away or take the sack, Allen delivered a high shovel pass into the endzone. Keon Coleman saw the awkward throw and readjusted to make the catch for a sensation touchdown:
Play of the Year?
While some fans feel that Allen just got bailed out by Coleman on a bad play, many agreed that it was one of the best plays of the season so far:
“Just an absolutely ridiculous football player. A master of the sport, some might say,” one user on X wrote.
“Lmao. Josh is a psycho man,” wrote another.
“Who needs to load a throw when you can casually flick your wrist for a 12-yd TD?” a third joked.
“Yeah this was legendary stuff.”

The Bills are 4-1 right now and if they take down the Raiders today, they’ll be 5-1 and stay ahead of the rival New England Patriots in the AFC East. More importantly, they’ll be the last one-loss AFC team remaining, putting them just behind the Kansas City Chiefs for the top record in the conference.
They’ll play against those Chiefs on Thanksgiving Day.
