NFL fans were annoyed by Taylor Swift’s “obnoxious” behavior on Sunday evening, September 20.
The Kansas City Chiefs topped the Indianapolis Colts in overtime on Sunday evening. Kansas City improved to 2-0 on the season. The Colts, meanwhile, dropped to 0-2 on the year.
Travis Kelce, 36, caught a touchdown in the win. He caught 9 passes for 101 yards and a touchdown, in his team’s 33-30 victory. The Chiefs sealed the win with a field goal in overtime.
NBC’s cameras caught Kelce’s wife reacting to his touchdown. Taylor Swift was caught pointing at her wedding ring and yelling “that’s my husband!”
NFL fans, though, are a bit annoyed by her behavior. Some NFL fans said that they found her behavior “obnoxious” on Sunday evening.
Fans weigh in on Taylor Swift’s behavior
“She is so obnoxious and full of herself. Points to her stupid ring like we don’t know they’re married,” one fan wrote.
“Her being a “proud wife” is a marketing angle, not football analysis. Does that bother anyone else?” one fan added.
“This broadcast cast is unbearable. Apparently there is only one team. A Colt player gets hurt and the broadcasters are blabbering about Mahomes and his knee-again? Why the NFL doesn’t understand that most people outside of KC cannot stand Chiefs is beyond me,” one fan added.
“Not a single one of us care about their marriage. Please stop,” one fan added.
“Isn’t every NFL wife proud of their husband who work hard giving their all every year?” one fan added.
“Never show her after he drops a ball like he did in the 3rd quarter. What a joke. Stop showing her ever time Travis makes a play. It’s nauseating,” one fan added.
One thing is clear, though, NBC – and other NFL networks – are not going to stop showing Taylor Swift when her husband is making plays.
