There's no doubt Ohio State linebacker Arvell Reese is one of the best prospects available in the 2026 NFL Draft. As for when he'll come off the board, it seems like we have a much clearer picture due to a recent move.

Reese, 20, earned All-American and All-Big Ten honors this past season with the Buckeyes. The 2024 national champion had 69 total tackles, 10 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks and two pass break-ups in 14 games.

Although the NFL Draft is roughly two months away, Reese seems destined for a team in the AFC East.

On Thursday morning, the New York Jets agreed to trade Pro Bowl defensive end Jermaine Johnson to the Tennessee Titans for defensive tackle T'Vondre Sweat. This trade will be processed once the new league year begins.

Immediately after this trade was announced, NFL fans came to the conclusion that Reese will be selected by the Jets with the No. 2 overall pick in this year's draft.

"And with the second overall pick in the draft The New York Jets Select Arvell Reese," one fan said in response to Thursday's trade.

"Arvell Reese is 95% a Jet," a second fan said.

"Arvell Reese, you are a New York Jet," another fan wrote on X.

"Arvell Reese is a Jet is all Im getting from this," a social media user commented.

Arvell Reese shares his thoughts on the Jets.

While at the NFL Combine this week, Reese was asked about potentially playing for the Jets. The Ohio State star made it clear that he'd be more than happy to join Aaron Glenn's defense.

“It would be amazing,” Reese said, via Nick Faria of Jets X-Factor. “Just getting a chance to be in the NFL would be amazing.”

Well, Reese's chances of suiting up for New York have just increased dramatically.
