Mansoor Delane and the Kansas City Chiefs remained perfect in Week 3, jumping to 3-0 on the 2026 NFL season after a 24-10 win over Malik Willis and the Miami Dolphins. Now, the Chiefs will look to extend their winning streak to four games in Week 4, hitting the road to face Kirk Cousins and the 3-0 Las Vegas Raiders in a battle for first place in the AFC West.
With 4:58 remaining in the fourth quarter of Chiefs vs. Dolphins, Willis passed to wide receiver Malik Washington for a one-yard gain before Delane and fellow cornerback Jaden Hicks brought him down, forcing a 2nd-and-long situation for Miami. But the Dolphins would still eventually end up in the end zone on the drive, scoring their lone touchdown of the game.
And while no penalty was called on the play, the NFL did hand Delane a $12,537 unnecessary roughness fine, describing the incident as a “low block.”

The NFL reviews each and every play throughout the season for potential fines if players break league rules. Typically, for a low block, players can be fined up to $12,537 for a first penalty, which can increase to $18,507 upon a second violation. Unfortunately for Delane, he received the maximum fine for his low block.
While Delane was the only player from the Chiefs vs. Dolphins to receive a fine, he wasn’t the only one fined for a low block throughout the NFL in Week 3. Jacksonville Jaguars offensive lineman Robert Hainsey also received a $6,750 fine for his low block against the Tennessee Titans.
Delane becomes just the fourth Chiefs player fined during the 2026 regular season as well. After Week 1, guard Trey Smith was charged $6,750 for a chop block, while running back Kenneth Walker III was fined $8,357 for throwing the ball into the stands. And in Week 2, safety Jaden Hicks was fined $6,707 for roughing the passer.
Delane and the Chiefs will take on the Raiders on Sunday at 4:25 p.m. ET.
