The 25-year-old is on a mission to prove that he is the team's long-term answer at the position and that he deserves a lucrative extension. He is one of Dak Prescott's favorite targets, and the team will rely heavily on their connection as Dallas aims to qualify for the playoffs.
The Cowboys and Pickens' camp failed to finalize a new contract in the offseason. Dallas instead placed the non-exclusive franchise tag on him in February, which he signed two months later.
