NFL announcer and Dallas Cowboys legend Troy Aikman went public with his 39-year-old girlfriend over the weekend.
Aikman, who is set to call “Monday Night Football” for ESPN this evening, posted a rare photo of his girlfriend, Marisa Howard, on Instagram. Howard was celebrating her birthday. The girlfriend of the legendary NFL quarterback is a wellness coach, author and former model.
The NFL announcer, 59, shared on Instagram: “Happy Birthday Beautiful❤️.”
Aikman shared a carousel of some of his favorite photos alongside his girlfriend, 20 years his junior.
NFL fans are happy for the couple
“HBD to a beautiful yogi who bravely wears white like a boss 🤍,” one fan wrote.
“Happiest Birthday to the most beautiful! 🎂❤️🔥💕,” one fan added.
“HBD 🥳 💙🕊️🙏,” one fan added.
Aikman’s relationship history
Aikman, who won three Super Bowls in Dallas, has been married twice. He was married to his first wife, Rhonda Worthey, from 2000 until 2011. Aikman then re-married and was with his second wife, Catherine Mooty, from 2017-2023.
The ESPN broadcaster was previously linked to Haley Clark, who has a sizable following on social media, however the couple appeared to break up at some point in the past few years.
Clark, a personal stylist, last posted a photo of her and Aikman in 2023.
It’s a big year for Aikman
Aikman is on an expiring contract at ESPN and, to this point, there’s been no talks of an extension, despite the network agreeing to a $100 million deal with Joe Buck.
“I thought something would be done prior to the start of this season,’ Aikman said on the “Sports Media with Richard Deitsch” podcast. “I’ve never gone into a last year of a contract ever since I signed with the Dallas Cowboys. So, I thought that it would be done. It’s not. When it might get done, if it gets done, is anybody’s guess, and it’s just not something that I’m really putting a lot of energy into.”
Buck wants to see it get done.
“I’m pretty well on record, having begged out of my last years at Fox to follow him to ESPN, where I stand on all that,” Buck said to Unfiltered with Ricky Bo and Bill Colarulo on Philadelphia’s 97.5 The Fanatic. “I legitimately love the guy like a brother. We’re basically the same age; I’m 57, he’s 59. We’ve both been through divorce. We’re both girl dads. 25 years, you’re sharing a lot of life together. Forget games and in the booth and all that stuff.
“So, I hope so. I mean, both of us were up. It wasn’t like we were doing some national signing day where we walk in arm-in-arm and then sign contracts at the same time. We’ve always kind of kept that stuff separate. I’m obviously hopeful, to say the least, that something gets done. But that’s kind of his world, and ESPN’s world, and I’ve got to kind of mind my own yard in that stuff. I think that’s the best way to be.”
