How would you grade Bad Bunny's Super Bowl 60 halftime show?

The Puerto Rican singer and rapper performed for about 15 minutes on the Levi's Stadium field. Bad Bunny brought out one special guest - Lady Gaga - and was widely praised for his storytelling and visual effects.

It was quite the spectacle.

But how would you grade the show?

The Athletic, the sports section of the New York Times, has given out a grade for Bad Bunny's halftime show. It's raising eyebrows.

The Athletic graded Bad Bunny's Super Bowl 60 halftime show on five different categories:

  • The scene
  • Song selection
  • Guests
  • Extras
  • Overall

The Athletic chose to give Bad Bunny an "A" grade for all five categories in the Super Bowl 60 halftime show.

"I loved the multiple flags of Latin countries and Bad Bunny’s shouting out those countries. He kept the show authentic and made it obvious this was a show from Latin America for the world to enjoy. The special effects, such as Bad Bunny’s going through the roof of the house or climbing the telephone pole, were cool and fit well with the video montage shown in the stadium. A wedding at the Super Bowl is next level, too. Hard to top that," they wrote.

"Bad Bunny converted me Sunday night. Count me as a fan."

NFL fans react to Bad Bunny's grade

"I don't know how the NFL accidentally stumbled into being on the right side of history here, but I'm glad they did. That was the halftime show this country needed," one fan wrote.

"I grew up in NYC—it was like a day in the life of Alphabet City. The familiarity of it all, the music, food courts, dancing by beautiful kids was moving. Puerto Rico is America is Puerto Rico. Non-dualistic societies are the best. Unlike Kid Rock, I have no room for resentment in a heart full of love," one fan added.

"I am not a MAGA supporter, and I tried to watch the halftime show with an open mind, but ... I didn't like it. If that makes me a bad person, so be it. I wish that the above writer had been one of my professors in college. Such generous grading would have been nice way back when," one fan added.

"I thought his voice was flat. I thought he looked lost a few times, like the stage and platform was too big for him. After reading the lyrics in English, eeek some of it is cringy," one fan added.
