An already shorthanded New York Jets receiving corps just got some more bad news – tight end Kenyon Sadiq is listed as “questionable” for Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bears with a back injury.

Sadiq had his NFL coming out party against the Detroit Lions in Week 3. He had more than 100 yards receiving and a touchdown, supplying a missing element to the Jets offense and winning him the NFL Pepsi Rookie of the Week Award.

The breakout game was sorely needed, as No. 2 receiver Adonai Mitchell and starting tight end Mason Taylor were out against the Lions, and now both will miss their second straight game with hand injuries.

Sadiq and tight end Jeremy Ruckert managed to make up for their absence in Week 3 with big games, each scoring a touchdown. But a missing Sadiq would take away a speedy downfield threat that opened things up for No. 1 receiver Garrett Wilson. Isaiah Williams is the No. 2 in Mitchell’s absence, but is not perceived as a big threat.

Also listed as questionable for the Bears game is edge rusher Kingsley Enagbare, who has a knee problem. Enagbare has been a solid contributor in the first three games, and has two sacks.

Sadiq and Enagbare both were limited in practice on Friday and may see spot duty, depending on the game situation.

The good news for the Jets is that running back Kene Nwangwu (back), safety Minkah Fitzpatrick (groin), and tight end Jeremy Ruckert (knee) will play in the Chicago game. Fitzpatrick could really be a game-changer for a young Jets secondary that has performed well since Fitzpatrick sustained a groin injury six plays into the opening day game against the Tennessee Titans.

The Jets previously disclosed that four offensive starters would be out for the Chicago game, including running back Breece Hall (quad), wide receiver Adonai Mitchell (finger), offensive lineman Dylan Parham (knee) and tight end Mason Taylor (thumb). Also out is linebacker Kiko Mauigoa (quad)
