Myisha Hines-Allen is fitting in quite well with the Indiana Fever. The eight-year veteran has already developed a rapport with Caitlin Clark.
The one-time WNBA champion signed with Indiana as a valuable offseason pickup.
Hines-Allen recently spoke about gelling with her new teammates, particularly the team's best player. The 30-year-old says connecting with Clark came naturally. Yet she admitted being surprised by just how outgoing the star guard is.
"Just getting to know her off the court has been, like, the best part because," Hines-Allen told reporters. "I've never talked to her before until I got here. So, it's just, like, actually communicating, like, seeing her vibe is, like, pretty cool, actually."
Hines-Allen added that the two share similar interests away from the game.
"I was not expecting her to, like, be so outgoing, open, knowing a lot of different music," Hines-Allend said. "Like, it's been really impressive. I've been in awe of it, actually."
Hines-Allen has proven to be a strong addition through four games of the 2026 campaign. The 6-foot-1 forward averages 5.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game.
She helped the Fever secure an 89-78 win over the Seattle Storm on Sunday. Hines-Allen played a season-high 27 minutes, contributing eight points, six rebounds, four assists and one steal.
Her experience and stability in the frontcourt give head coach Stephanie White another vital asset.
For a team with championship aspirations, chemistry on and off the court matters. Hines-Allen, a seasoned veteran, knows that better than most.
The camaraderie she has built with Clark and her teammates may prove just as valuable as what she brings on the court.
