If there's one thing Jerry Jones is known for as an NFL owner, it's this: entertainment.
The Dallas Cowboys owner has been at times accused of putting entertainment ahead of winning, allowing fan tours of his facilities during practices, large fan attendance at training camp and more.
This year, as the Dallas Cowboys opened training camp in Oxnard, California, thousands of fans were in attendance, with many filming practice. Christian Parker, the team's new defensive coordinator, doesn't like it.
“It’s weird,” Parker said on 105.3 The Fan. “Not a fan.”

On Saturday, Jerry Jones' franchise allowed the full practice to be broadcast locally in Dallas and streamed online.
But the team's head coach, Brian Schottenheimer, does not agree.

“You know me, I think at the end of the day, I don’t worry about that stuff too much,” Schottenheimer said, per Calvin Watkins. “I mean, we all have each other’s playbooks. We all know what we run. We have videos going back decades that we can pull up. It’s not like they’re showing it from a game standpoint; the camera’s on, it’s moving. Are there things you can get? Yeah. But we get the same thing. So that doesn’t bother me.”
Schottenheimer, of course, might not want to publicly disagree with his boss in Jerry Jones.
“I’ve not always been that way,” Schottenheimer said about his current attitude toward the filming of practice. “I think my dad [Marty] was definitely like, absolutely not. I think it’s more as I’ve gotten older and been around it and understanding. And look, we like eyes on us with the Cowboys. It’s a good thing. We’re proud of our brand and it doesn’t bother me.”
The Cowboys are set to open the year on Sept. 13 against the Giants.
