Angel Reese has finally conquered the international stage by becoming a FIBA World Cup champion with Team USA.
Even with just nine minutes on the court against France, the Atlanta Dream star made every moment count by notching three points, three rebounds, one steal and one block.
While Team USA trailed by as many as 14 points at the start of the second quarter, the star-studded squad managed to cut the lead by two points before halftime. From that point on, the Americans never lifted their foot off the gas and cruised to an impressive 97-79 victory.
After the game, USA Basketball made sure to celebrate its players, including Reese. In a post on social media, the organization shared a video of the Dream forward making a confetti angel on the court.

Team USA also gave Reese a new nickname, inspired by the sight of her enjoying the gold confetti.
“Snow Angel? Nah, Gold Angel,” USA Basketball wrote.
The WNBA All-Star has garnered quite a number of nicknames throughout the tournament. In fact, FIBA called her “Queen of the Boards” after her performance against China, as well as “Berlin Barbie” following Team USA’s championship.
While Reese was unable to secure the Best Defensive Player award despite her contributions to the national team’s title run, she definitely has every reason to smile with a gold medal around her neck.
Now, Reese returns to the U.S. with high hopes of winning another championship, this time in the WNBA, as the Dream head to the playoffs.
