Angel Reese impressed for the Atlanta Dream in their 104-69 blowout of the Connecticut Sun on Thursday. While Reese failed to record a double-double, her all-around effort was pivotal in helping the Dream take down the Brittney Griner-led Sun.
The 24-year-old forward finished with eight points and a monster 15 rebounds in the victory. She also had three steals and four blocks in an incredible defensive showing. Two of those blocks and one steal came in one sequence against Griner in the second quarter.
With her rebounding tally in the game, Reese set a new record for the most rebounds in a single season in Dream history. She now has 384 rebounds this season, surpassing Tina Charles' tally of 374 set in 2024.

Naturally, the Dream celebrated Reese's milestone on social media during the game. The team also gave her a new nickname to commemorate the occasion.
"Queen of the Board Room," the Dream wrote before announcing Reese's achievement. "Angel Reese has set a new record for Most Rebounds in a Single Dream Season! Let's go, Angel!"

For what it's worth, the Dream also gave Reese a nickname after their previous game against the Toronto Tempo. The three-time All-Star recorded her 22nd double-double of the season in the contest, prompting the team to call her the "Double-Diva."
Considering Reese's elite production for Atlanta, though, she certainly deserves all the recognition and new nicknames she's getting.
It certainly won't be surprising if the Dream come up with more nicknames for her before the season ends.
