WWE NXT star Keanu Carver’s future with the company has come into question following a protection-order case involving another NXT talent. Carver, whose real name is Kevin Robertson, has been off television since September 8, and a new report now claims people within WWE believe his run could be over.
A Florida court issued a temporary protection order against Robertson on September 14 after a petition was filed by another NXT talent. The order requires Robertson to stay at least 500 feet away from the petitioner and prohibits him from contacting her.
The petition alleges that Robertson repeatedly contacted and visited the petitioner after their relationship ended. It also includes allegations of stalking, harassment, and unwanted visits, along with a claim that he made as many as 44 phone calls in one day. The allegations have not been established as criminal findings, and the civil protection-order case remains ongoing.
A September 22 hearing extended the protection order through October 20, when another hearing is scheduled. Keanu Carver’s last televised appearance came on the September 8 episode of NXT, where he teamed with EK Prosper and Cruz Montana against Tony D’Angelo, Saquon Shugars and Mason Rook in a losing effort.
Dave Meltzer has now provided an update on Robertson’s WWE status in the “Wrestling Observer Newsletter.” He reported that sources within WWE believe Carver may not return to the promotion.
“Kevin Robertson, 27, who wrestles in NXT as Keanu Carver, has been off television and according to those within the company may be gone for good.”
Keanu Carver Has Also Addressed The Situation On Social Media
Carver has addressed the situation on X since details of the protection-order case became public. He wrote that people would “sound dumb” in a month and later posted, “Keep God first.” Some of his earlier posts were subsequently deleted.
The latest report follows Meltzer’s earlier comments on “Wrestling Observer Radio,” where he said he did not expect Robertson to return. However, WWE has not announced that the 27-year-old star has been released or that his contract has been terminated.
For now, his absence from NXT continues while the court proceedings move forward. The October 20 hearing is the next scheduled development in the case, while Robertson’s official WWE status remains unconfirmed.
