He might be 41, but LeBron James still keeps accomplishing milestones whenever he steps on the court for Los Angeles Lakers. Thursday night was no different as the four-time NBA Champion forward ended up claiming a special NBA record.
Inside the Ball Arena, the Lakers took on the Denver Nuggets. With under 19 seconds remaining in the first quarter, James backed down Zeke Nnaji before hitting a fadeaway jumper to make history.
"LEBRON JAMES. MOST FIELD GOALS MADE IN NBA HISTORY," wrote the NBA.
Just days after becoming the second player for Lakers to hit 1,000 3-point field goals, James has surpassed former NBA icon and legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar after becoming the all-time leader in career field goals made.

On Tuesday, against the New Orleans Pelicans James needed 11 field goals to claim this record. However, he fell three short, while making 8 successful field goals.
But on Thursday, James finally did it against the Nuggets. Previously, Jabbar held this unique distinction with a mark of 15,837 career field goals made.
James already holds the NBA all-time record for career points while ranking second in free throws made. He is on the sixth position for three-pointers made.
Now he has added another feather in his gilded career while playing in his 23rd NBA season. The Lakers forward will next be seen in action against the Indiana Pacers on Friday inside the Crypto.com Arena. The game will tip off at 10:30 pm ET.
