Legendary NBA head coach Don Nelson has died on Sunday. He was 86 years old.
Nelson, a longtime NBA coach, led the Bucks, Warriors, Knicks and Mavericks over the course of his head coaching career. Nelson also played professionally for the Lakers in 1963-65 and the Celtics from 1965-76. He finished his coaching career with a stint with the Warriors from 2006-10.
The former NBA big man was a five-time champion as a player and a three-time NBA Head Coach of the Year. He's widely considered to be one of the 10 to 15 best head coaches in league history.

On Sunday, his family announced his death.
“On Sunday morning our beloved husband, dad, grandfather and great-grandfather Don Nelson peacefully went to be with the Lord, surrounded by his loving family. Throughout his last week, friends and family encircled him with love, sharing the blessing of his friendship and revisiting treasured memories.”
