The NBA has identified and issued punishment to two fans involved in the court storming incident at Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Wednesday evening.
A fan rushed the floor during the second half of the 2026 NBA Finals Game 1 in San Antonio on Wednesday evening. The fan, a young male, ran onto the court and attempted to take a selfie with Spurs star Victor Wembanyama. He was quickly escorted off of the floor by two security guards.
The fan appeared to have tickets to the game and rushed the floor when security wasn't able to stop him.
The Knicks went on to win Game 1, upsetting the Spurs on the road. Game 2 of the NBA Finals is set for this weekend. Meanwhile, the NBA has issued official punishment to two fans for their Game 1 behavior.

The NBA announced on Thursday, June 4 that two fans have been banned for life.
"The individual who entered the court area during Game 1 of The Finals was arrested and will be banned for life from all NBA arenas. A second individual will also receive a lifetime ban for his role in the incident," the league announced.

"It would’ve been more punitive and more effective deterrent to simply delete the pictures and videos from his phone," one fan wrote.
"That's a shame," one added.
"Hope the 10 seconds of fame to post on some channel was worth it," one fan added.
"Hope it was worth it for his stupid Tik Toks," one fan added.
Game 2 of the NBA Finals is scheduled for Friday night at 8:30 p.m. E.T.
