A physical altercation that took place between Miami Heat star Bam Adebayo and his now-former teammate Tyler Herro will apparently not result in punishment for either of them.
According to ESPN NBA insider Shams Charania, an NBA spokesperson has stated that following a discussion between the league, the players and the NBPA, all parties would "prefer to move on" and no further action will be taken.
"After discussing with the players involved and the NBPA, everyone would prefer to move on from this unfortunate circumstance, and no further action will be taken by the league," the statement said.
The Incident
Last week there were reports that Adebayo and Herro got into a physical altercation of sorts that saw Adebayo strike Herro in the head.
"The altercation occurred at a practice court in a Las Vegas hotel, according to sources. It started when Adebayo approached Herro about comments the guard made, critiquing the center on social media after their seven-year run as teammates in Miami ended when Herro was traded to Milwaukee," Charania wrote last Friday.
"Herro was seated courtside at the Thomas & Mack Center for Friday's summer league game between the Heat and Bucks. He was interviewed during the game on the Prime broadcast before the news of his altercation with Adebayo broke."

Herro has stated that he's "just trying to move past all of it" and wants to focus on playing for the Bucks now.
"Honestly, I'm just trying to move past all of it," Herro told ESPN on Tuesday. "I'm focused on Milwaukee and building something special. They obviously just traded the greatest player in their history, so we want to come in and help continue what they've been doing."
The Heat and the Bucks both had no comment on the situation.
