Of course, Giannis is currently sidelined due to a calf strain and will be unable to compete in the All-Star game, allowing Fox to be named as an All-Star.
The NBA also announced that Miami Heat guard Norman Powell will now join Team World for the All-Star game due to his ties to Jamaica to even out all three teams.
For Fox, he will now join teammate Victor Wembanyama, who will represent Team World, and head coach Mitch Johnson, who will coach Fox and the rest of the USA Stripes team.
With this announcement by the NBA, Fox will now be an All-Star for the second time in his career with his prior appearance being during the 2022-23 season when he was a member of the Sacramento Kings.
