Part of the crowd at Monday night's NCAA Tournament national championship game was heard booing during the performance.
Prior to tipoff between No. 1 seed Michigan and No. 2 seed UConn, the national anthem was performed on the court at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.
While the performance was a good one, some fans were caught booing as the song played.
Fans seemed to be booing the Michigan coaches and players, rather than the national anthem itself, but still, it's a bad look.
'Classless' national anthem reaction gets called out
"UConn fans booing Michigan coaches and players during the national anthem is insane," one fan wrote.
"The March Madness crowd booing Dan Hurley😂😂 and this game is all the way in Indianapolis, not Michigan. Dan Hurly is really hated," one fan added.
"I guarantee that the same people cheering and booing people on the jumbo tron during the National Anthem are the same people that got mad at Colin Kapernick for taking a silent knee during the anthem," one fan added.
"Due to the current state of affairs, Im not terribly happy with our country at the moment… But, the UCONN fans booing Michigan players and coaches, during the singing of the National Anthem, was incredibly disrespectful…." one fan added.
"College sports fans are so dumb, booing actual children during the national anthem," one fan added.
It's been a good game so far, at least, as No. 1 seed Michigan is trailing No. 2 seed UConn, 16-10, at the under-10:00 mark in the first half.
The game is airing on TBS.
