Mozambique and Senegal are facing off in the opening round of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers at the Estádio Nacional do Zimpeto in Maputo on Friday, September 25. Kickoff was scheduled for 3 p.m. local time, 1 p.m. GMT, 9 a.m. ET and 2 p.m. BST.
The Group J fixture was originally scheduled to be played in Senegal, but it was relocated to Maputo after the Stade Abdoulaye Wade was made unavailable because of the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games. The change was approved by CAF and both federations.
Senegal, meanwhile, begin a new era under Patrick Vieira. The former France international is taking charge of his first competitive match as Senegal coach after succeeding Pape Thiaw.
