It has been a busy offseason thus far for the Miami Heat as they have made multiple moves to upgrade their roster after missing the playoffs last season.
Of course, the biggest move of the offseason for the Heat was acquiring Giannis Antetokounmpo from the Milwaukee Bucks as they will pair him alongside Bam Adebayo.

Miami also acquired Bobby Portis in the trade with the Bucks and signed Klay Thompson, Tim Hardaway Jr. and Nick Richards in free agency.
With these moves, the Heat will try to return to being a contender in the Eastern Conference this upcoming season, though they still have some key areas of need that they could address before the end of the offseason, including at point guard.
Mock Trade Sends Jrue Holiday to Heat, Andrew Wiggins to Trail Blazers

If they do decide to do this, Miami could look to upgrade their backcourt by targeting Portland Trail Blazers veteran Jrue Holiday.
In a potential trade, the Heat could send a package of Andrew Wiggins, Dru Smith and a 2027 second-round pick to the Trail Blazers in exchange for Holiday.

This trade could work out well for both sides as the Heat would upgrade their starting point guard by acquiring Holiday while the Trail Blazers would add a key veteran wing in Wiggins.
For the Heat, adding Holiday to their roster would give them a new starting point guard who already has chemistry with Giannis from their time together in Milwaukee, which included them winning a championship.
Holiday would provide Miami with a reliable scorer and playmaker in their backcourt who also excels on the defensive end and brings championship experience after winning titles with the Bucks and Boston Celtics during his career.

Last season, the 36-year-old guard averaged 16.3 points, 4.6 rebounds, 6.1 assists and 1.0 steals per game while shooting 45.1% from the field and 37.8% from three.
The acquisition of Holiday would also improve Miami’s backcourt depth, as Davion Mitchell could come off the bench and lead the team’s second unit.
While this trade could work out well for the Heat, they may look elsewhere to potentially upgrade their backcourt ahead of the new season. The Trail Blazers may also elect to keep Holiday despite having a plethora of guards on their roster.
