Grammy-winning singer and songwriter Ciara is joining the Major League Soccer team. She is taking star power to its biggest event, as the entertainer will head up the halftime show for the 2026 MLS All-Star Game.
The match will be at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina, where the MLS top players will take on the Liga MX All-Stars. It's another milestone in MLS' quest to make its yearly event one of North America's biggest sports and entertainment events.

Ciara will take to the stage at the MLS All-Star Game on Wednesday, July 29, as the headliner of one of the biggest nights of the season in the MLS.

The multi-platinum artist has been a best seller in millions of copies internationally with tracks such as "Goodies," "1, 2 Step," "Level Up," and "Like a Boy". In addition to her career in the music industry, Ciara has even stronger connections to the soccer world, as she owns a stake in MLS team Seattle Sounders FC with her husband, who is an NFL quarterback, Russell Wilson.
The show will air live as part of the match coverage on Apple TV's MLS Season Pass, and will be viewable by fans in over 100 countries and regions.
Comparing All-Star Games' Halftime Show to the World Cup & Super Bowl
As FIFA introduced its Super Bowl-style halftime show at the 2026 World Cup Final, MLS is increasing the entertainment side of its marquee events as well.
The MLS All-Star game isn't quite as widely viewed as the FIFA World Cup Final or the Super Bowl, but getting a player as big as Ciara in attendance underscores the league's desire to take its star player game beyond just an exhibition game.
Hosting more than 100 million American audiences alone, the Super Bowl Halftime Show regularly showcases global icons like Beyonce, Rihanna, Usher, Kendrick Lamar and The Weeknd.
