Best MLB Playoff Bets Today
Los Angeles Dodgers -1.5 Run Line (+149)
Dating back to the regular season, the Dodgers are 8-2 in their last 10. Of those eight wins, seven were by multiple runs. They really kept the Braves at bay in Game 1, and LHP Blake Snell is a seasoned playoff vet. He’s 7-5 with a 3.27 ERA and 102 K’s in 82.2 IP over 15 starts in his postseason career. There’s a chance the Braves go with LHP Chris Sale, but it doesn’t matter. This series could wind up a sweep. It might be best to wait to see if the Braves announce Sale as the starter as the odds should ripen.
San Diego Padres Moneyline (+114)
San Diego Padres RHP Michael King was nearly unhittable in his first start of this postseason Tuesday. He threw seven shutout innings, allowing just one hit and three walks with eight K’s against the Chicago Cubs. King faced the Brewers once this season and allowed just one run over 5 2/3 IP and struck out five. Look for the Friars to take advantage of Milwaukee Brewers RHP Logan Henderson in his first-ever postseason start.
Los Angeles Dodgers LHP Blake Snell Over 1.5 Walks (-171)
Death, taxes, and Snell walking two-plus batters is something MLB bettors live by as Snell walked at least two in six of his nine starts. He didn’t in his last two of the season, but those were shortened outings that combined to five total innings. He nibbles and has no fear of baserunners because he gets out of it.
